BSUPA Ready 2 Tour - Keyhaven Quay

Service Description

The British Stand Up Paddleboard Association Ready 2 Tour course is designed to introduce people to the enjoyment of SUP touring and exploring but offer more than an experience. Here at The New Forest Paddle Sport Co we take this to the next level by offering you a 2 day course. The course is broken down into day 1 theory and on water skills session at Keyhaven Quay. Day 2 group planning and then running your own tour on one of our many local amazing locations. Having completed this course paddlers should feel that they are ready to plan their own sup adventures and have new skills to improve their time and safety on the water. The course is ‘skill and knowledge focused’ aiming to give paddlers a safe way of getting more time on the water. ​By the end of this course paddlers should feel confident to: Understand the different locations to paddle and their restrictions, challenges Have knowledge of different touring disciplines and how to get involved Be able to select the best touring equipment for themselves Can demonstrate an improved efficient paddle stroke Can use a variety of strokes to maintain tracking and maneuverability on the water. Can navigate obstacles and third parties afloat taking into account, flow, weather and any other elements. Have knowledge of how to plan a trip taking into account weather, flow, tide, access, 3rd parties, exit options, Have understanding of personal gear you might take with you when touring. Have planned completed and experienced a tour. At the end of it, you will be presented with your BSUPA Ready to Tour Card. We have touring shapes available to use on this course but recommend using your own SUP for the course. £199 per person with Paddleboard, Paddle, Buoyancy Aid supplied Wetsuits provided free of charge if required. Please note these are Adult Only Sessions but we can also offer this as a private session for individuals, groups or families. Please contact us for details. If you have completed one of our previous 1 day ready to tour session then we can offer the 2nd day of the course for £95. This will allow you to join a group to plan a tour and then take part in the afternoon in a local location of the groups choosing. Please contact us for availability.
